Latvian Standard (LVS) is a limited liability company.
The company was established after the reorganization of the Latvian National Center of Standardization and Metrology, when LVS took on the rights and obligations in the field of standardization.
Relations between LVS and the Government are regulated by the Standardization Law, which was adopted by the Latvian Parliament in 1998.
The mission of LVS as a national standardization organization is to direct and coordinate the standards-making process in Latvia in order to provide the national economy with standardization information.
